His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa, welcomed Her Royal Highness Princess Haifa bint Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Chair of Zahra Breast Cancer Association, and her accompanying delegation. The reception took place during the weekly “Tuesday Council”, a regular forum hosted by the Al-Ahsa Governorate
During the meeting, Zahra Association highlighted its national efforts in breast cancer awareness, as well as the services it provides in Al-Ahsa. The discussion also explored ways to strengthen community partnerships and expand donation opportunities to support the Association’s programmes and broaden its reach in the region
Attended by several business leaders and prominent figures from Al-Ahsa, the gathering served as a backdrop for the signing of three landmark agreements, including: a partnership with the Hamad Al Jabr Oncology Centre to establish the Zahra Association’s new regional office in Al-Ahsa; a collaboration with the Abdulaziz, Mohammed, and Abdulatif, the Sons of Hamad Al Jabr Charitable Foundation, to upgrade and refurbish the association’s mobile screening clinic; and a strategic alliance with the Absar Institute to roll out continuous health awareness programs and educational lectures throughout the Eastern Province
Zahra Association is actively taking part in the national breast cancer awareness campaign under the theme “Early Detection Makes the Difference,” which seeks to broaden awareness efforts across the Kingdom. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Association has developed tailored awareness materials for all school levels. To enhance accessibility, Zahra has also provided content in Braille and sign language for people with visual and hearing impairments, as well as materials adapted for different segments of society, ensuring broader reach and impact
